When was the last time you gave yourself the breathing room to sit peacefully and reflect?

Each session is 60 minutes of semi-structured 1-on-1 conversation either in person (outdoors if you’re willing and able!) or on video chat. We’ll schedule a time to meet. As long as we agree beforehand, we’ll both have a 10-minute grace time to show up to the session, because sometimes we could use a little breathing room in our schedules. What you say in the sessions will be confidential, so you can truly speak your mind.

What your sessions with Breathing Room WILL NOT be like:

  • Me giving you a ton of advice with the assumption that what has helped me will definitely work for you. An authoritarian sports coach or teacher who tells you exactly what to do. Someone grades/reprimands you for your performance/actions

  • A therapist who is qualified and trained to diagnose, address, and treat mental health conditions. Someone trained to help you return to “normal” baseline mental functioning

What your sessions with Breathing Room WILL be like:

  1. You’ll have a safe environment to freely speak your mind to a professional listener who can connect the dots on what you’re saying and point out potentially helpful observations for you

  2. You will be challenged to open up, consider different ways of thinking and courses of action for your life. This is where your growth really happens. You get to own what’s truly important to you and how you want to approach things

  3. You don’t just talk about what you’re going to do; we come up with action steps together so you can actually make progress. With your coach, you’ll have an accountability partner who follows up on the things you said you were going to do. With each step you take, we will celebrate the progress you’ve made—big or small—because all of your wins matter

If you’re unsure of what you want to work on, here are some questions to get you started:

  1. What’s been on your mind the most lately?

  2. What’s something that’s weighing you down that you’ve been putting off or totally neglecting?

  3. What would make your life 5% better?

  4. How would you like things to be different for you six months from now?

  5. Which areas of your life are genuinely worth investing your time, money, and energy into?
