Here’s what my clients have done with their breathing room:

  • Mapped out their next steps in their dating, job, educational, or life path

  • Created better boundaries with phone usage and substance usage to use that time for actual rest and hobbies

  • Unearthed thought patterns that were keeping them stuck and discovered more effective and helpful thought patterns

  • Improved planning and organizational skills so they could get more important stuff done

  • Nailed down healthier habits for their minds and bodies, and then regularly maintained these habits

This is what I wanted from therapy. It’s made me more disciplined and accountable, given me more concrete steps to follow through on what I wanted. I’m taking it a day at a time, because in the past I wanted everything and it felt overwhelming. It feels good to make progress.
